The Swipe-and-Catch Loop
Pebblemon: Bounce & Gather is built around a single repeated action: watching colorful orbs bounce across the screen and swiping to catch them. Each successful catch adds a new creature to the player's collection. The orbs do not follow one predictable path. Some move quickly, some drift slowly, and others zigzag, so catching them requires observation before action.
Risk and Timing
Not every orb is safe. Certain orbs end the current run when touched, which turns each swipe into a small decision. Players must identify which orbs are beneficial and which are dangerous, balancing speed with caution. As players learn orb patterns, levels begin to feel like timing puzzles rather than pure reflex tests.
Progression and Difficulty
Early stages introduce a small number of orbs moving in predictable paths. As the collection grows, the screen becomes busier. New orb types appear, some demanding faster reactions and others requiring players to avoid them entirely. Each level has a clear goal, such as collecting a set number of creatures or avoiding a specific orb type. Meeting that goal unlocks the next stage and adds variety.
Visual Style and Audience
The game uses a bright, cheerful palette with soft edges and friendly creature designs. Collected creatures range from round and fluffy to tall and spiky, and backgrounds shift subtly as players advance. There is no harsh imagery or loud sound, which keeps the experience calm and suitable for younger players. Controls are simple enough for children to understand, while the increasing complexity offers enough depth for older players. No reading or complex menus are required, and sessions can be short or extended.
